Summer Santa & his Elves will be on hand. Enjoy great Christmas music, post-race goodies and a holiday theme wrapped around a 5-K. This is the 11th annual Christmas in Aug event.

PRIOR TO THE MAIN EVENT, KIDDIES ARE INVITED TO RUN IN THE SANTA SPRINT
6:30 PM for kids 5 & U. Kids either run of if too young, get pushed in stroller across field. $2 per child.
DIRECTIONS: FROM SOUTH OF NEWTON: Take Route 80 to Route 206 North. Follow toward Newton, passing through Byram and Andover. Make a left onto 618 at the In and Out Deli. Follow up and over the hill to Route 94. Go left on 94 and follow about a mile to the light. Go right at light onto 610. Follow several miles to Route 619. Go right on 619 and follow several miles to Swartswood State Park (on the left).FROM NORTH OF NEWTON: Go to Route 206 South. Follow into Newton Center. Take Route 94 South 5 miles out of town to light at intersection with Route 610. Go right onto 610 and follow above.

- This race is just a lot of fun! It\'s held in God\'s Country of NJ way up in the NW pocket of the state. It\'s so cool to arrive and hear Christmas music blaring from the beach pavilion and then see this dude and his wife dressed up as Summer Santa and Mrs. Clause IN AUGUST! ____The course is lovely, touring New Jersey\'s first State Park, Swartswood.____One of the best parts of the race is that it\'s only $8 pre-reg and $10 the day of. That\'s unheard of these days and greatly appreciated in this economy! There isn\'t a shirt, but great goodie bag, hand-made prizes and home baked goods made by the local running club.
