T-shirts better than last year. Beer under tent this time--excellent!
Too hot for health though, I heard a person calling for an EMT and it took long long time to get help...- by cuttinggirl on 06/28 10:45:44/2010Nice race, nice town. Very hot and humid!! It would be nice if race started and ended on same street. Beer and hotdogs and watermelon very nice after race, but beer very warm...they started pouring at beginning of race...Warm Coors lite...not good. The sam adams was good, but ran out right away. A few hills with a track finish. Hoses were out to cool the runners along with water stops.
Nice tech tee shirts with a cool logo of \"barley and hops runners\". Women\'s sizes ran very small. If you didn\'t pre-register for the race you were told to pick up a shirt at the end of the race but there were none left.
Beer, hot dogs, watermelon, cookies at the finish line.
The beer truck had a Bud Light sign on it and there was plenty of it. I did see a runner collapsed at the finish line probably from the extreme heat & humidity. People were assisting the runner but I did not ambulance support show up right away.
We went to Fitzgerald\'s 1928 after the race to continue the party.
Despite the heat all in all a good time and I\'ll probably run this race again next year.
